About
Kitesurf Ometepe started in 2022 with a simple love story: two kitesurfers, Jeremie (French) and Olga (British), fell for a wild volcanic island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua and never really left.
Ometepe has a way of doing that to people. Two volcanoes rising out of a freshwater lake, black sand beaches, howler monkeys in the trees, and wind that shows up on schedule from November to May. We came for the wind. We stayed for everything else.
What we've built since then is more than a kitesurf and wingfoil school. It's a place where students, independent riders and instructors end up around the same table. We host weekly dinners with our crew, share the good spots and activities on the island, and celebrate every first water start.
For longer stays, we offer kite camps and can arrange accommodation with our trusted partners on the island, from budget-friendly rooms to places with volcano views. Just ask, we know everyone here.
Safety is at the heart of how we teach. We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced kitesurf courses. All of our instructors are IKO certified, with experience teaching in different locations, conditions and languages around the world. Every lesson follows IKO safety standards, on radio-equipped premium F-ONE gear, in a spot naturally suited for learning thanks to its on and side shore winds. You progress faster when you feel safe, and we never compromise on that.
Come for the rides. Stay for the vibes!
